Artist Statement

A Post-Pandemic World is a series of the previous project, A Pandemic Virus. In 2020, everyone is having a hard time against the virus. People cannot think about life after the current situation. Most people have never gone through a pandemic situation due to a virus. I cannot imagine when the virus outbreak will end. But obviously one thing that we learned through the virus outbreak is since people only do essential activities because of the quarantine, all of nature is reviving.

In this aspect, we should think about how to recover damaged life by the virus. And, after the virus has disappeared, we have to think about how to live to prevent this terrible situation from happening again. Eventually, healing and coexistence are important. In addition to being physically healed against the virus, it is necessary to restore disconnected or broken relationships in the society. Also, it is necessary to coexist with nature so that the virus will no longer occur. Living together with or without being dominated by anything, that is the utopia we need today.
